Rain falling
on my chest
While running
without rest

The rain soaks in
adding weight
Harder to run
impossible to wait

Lightning flashes
illuminate the rain
and the road ahead
revealing the drain

See a figure
lost in rain
bent and kneeling
under the strain

Added pressures
harder to go
dragging for life
thankless, though

Nearly collapsing
asking for clear sky
A flash of lightning
is the only reply

Then, light
coming near
the rain is fading
all's become clear

Two figures lie
Huddled alone
while others run
and cast a stone.
